Quick quiz

Im in the throws of packing and moving this week. So todays entry is actually going too be a quiz. Lets see how many errors you can find in this post. Their are more than 6 and less then twenty. My advise is to look four grammar or style and usage mistakes. The winner gets nothing but my complements.
Good luck and let me know how much you find.

Rite on!

  1. I think I found 12 errors...but I'm half asleep! Does that count? :-)

I think I finally figured out how to "follow" you & also post a response. See you tonight, dear! :-)

  2. I think I found 19, counting the ones that had multiple errors covering one issue. Stopped at 19, per your range of error numbers.

    Here they are:

    1. I'm or I am, not "Im".
    2. Think it's throes, not "throws".
    3. Comma and L/C "s" after week.
    4. Todays should be possessive; today's.
    5. Hmm, maybe lose the "actually" as redundant.
    6. To, not "too".
    7. Contraction Let's, not "Lets".
    8. There, not "Their".
    9. Spell out "6", numerals for "twenty" (At least AP Style)
    10. Advice, not "advise".
    11. For, not "four".
    12. Should replace "or" after grammar with comma.
    13. "Receives" or similar instead of "gets" after winner.
    14. Compliments instead of "complements".
    15. Suggest replacing "and" in closing sentence with comma.
    16. Many, not "much".
    17. Right, not "Rite", although I might suggest "write" over either.

In addition, I noticed that you're "alt tag" for your signature .jpg, is empty. That will cost you in the SEO arena and with section 508 compliance for text-only browsers. I can fix that. :>)

  3. Aaargh! all that work and ruined by spelling you're instead of your!

Back to basics, Jerry: proofread, proofread, proofread. Then proofread again.
